LABOR RATE

Our labor rate is $150/hr, and all service has a minimum of 1 hour labor.

There’s generally a wait list here at the shop, so reach out soon to get your place in line.

Rush is available, but includes a $200 fee and a labor rate of $275/hr.

The hours required varies greatly on what you're looking to achieve.  There is probably a lot more potential in your instrument than you even realize, which can be brought out with the right work.

In general, you can expect:

  • Minor servicing and tuning will usually take 2-4 hours. This is for solutions to minor issues.

  • Repairs and rebuilds aimed at improving your instrument substantially can take anywhere from 6-12 or more hours, oftentimes dependent on how much electronic work is needed or if there's significant flaws in the original build of the instrument. This work guarantees a level of health and stability to your instrument that can't be accomplished otherwise.

HOUSE-CALLS, PICKUPS & DROP-OFFS

These instruments are heavy, and are not the easiest things to move around. For certain situations, we offer house-call service or pickup and drop-offs.

House-call service is limited to basic servicing and minor repairs, and will not include any significant electronic work or even tuning for Wurlitzer pianos due to the shop equipment required.

If you are unable to transport your equipment, we offer pickup and drop-off service so the work can take place here at the shop.

Travel fee: There is a $5/mi travel charge for house-calls and pickup/drop-off ($30 minimum, one-way) from the shop here in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, 90042.
